Presents an Evening of Cowboy Poetry & Western Music

ROSS KNOX and TRINITY SEELY

Saturday, January 9, 2016

7 PM   $ 25

We are pleased to welcome for the first time Ross and Trinity. Ross Knox is a legend in cowboy lore. He is a renown cowboy poet featured annually in Elko and

a fearless Packer with 9 lives…he’s used up 7 of them by now.  Ian Tyson has mentioned him in his songs and Tom Russell wrote and essay on his many adventures.

Trinity is the one with the beautiful voice, while some claim Ross gargles with anti-freeze. Together they are a dynamite pair combining poetry with music.

Warren Miller from Prescott’s prestigious Sharlott Hall Western Museum says: “Ross writes about the things he knows intimately: horses, cattle, cow-dogs, loneliness, getting hitched, getting in a wreck, about the life of a cowboy.”

Jennifer Denison, Senior Editor, Western Horseman magazine comments on Trinity Seely “Music and storytelling as much a part a part working on a ranch as a saddle is to riding horses. Trinity embraces the oral traditions of the cowboy life and offers a musical window into her life as a cowgirl and ranch wife.”

Trinity Seely was named True West magazine’s Favorite Western Artist in 2012. Her song Cowboy Hat was nominated Song of the Year (2014) by the Western Music Association.
